Hello, I am Landon Dooley

New Mexico is home. I’m running for House in New Mexico’s 40th District as part of our campaign because NM needs a representative who lives here, listens here, and shows up here. As a combat veteran, husband, father, rancher, and local business owner, I believe that true leadership is measured by action, not talk.

 I’m running for House of Representatives — New Mexico’s 40th District (NM-40) as a Republican. 

 Because NM-40 deserves a representative who lives life here, listens here, and shows up here. I’m stepping up to deliver measurable results—not politics-as-usual.  My family and yours deserve better.  It isn't impossible.  It just takes guts and courage, that have been lacking for longer than I have been alive.  I can't watch my children grow up without a voice, or an ability to use critical thinking skills, the ability to source/understand knowledge, and then to be able to advance based on their character/skills, as opposed to joining the ranks of the incapable.

 I live in Colfax County in the Enchanted Circle area. New Mexico is home, and my family has, and is continuing to build permanent roots here.  We have built our family, our businesses, and our home here.

  I’m a father, husband, longhorn and swine rancher, local business owner (6x), international business owner (2x), business/marketing/investment consultant, public speaker and coach, rodeo producer, marksmanship instructor, Campground visionary, 5 time best in NM winner, #4 by Forbes, a World Champion tournament winner in offshore sportfishing, and a Combat Veteran who served in OIF/OEF. I’ve spent the last ten years serving this community by building businesses, creating jobs, and supporting local projects and veteran-focused initiatives.  That drive/calling to be a part of something bigger, and to be a tool for good, and to serve the people, is eating me up though.  I need to get into this fight. 

 

My priorities are:

  • Public safety and secure communities
     
  • Stronger schools and real accountability
     
  • Economic growth, jobs, and fewer barriers for small businesses
     
  • Respect for taxpayers and responsible spending
     
  • Protecting constitutional rights 

 No. I don't need your money, I need your vote.  I am beholden to God, my family, and you.  I have, and will continue to turn down all pac's, lawyers, and "entities." I don't work for them. Yes, this has been expensive, and will continue to cost me to pursue, but, I am still 100% self funded, and I owe no one.  My agenda is you guys.  Your problems are my problems, literally.

 I self-funded the start because I’m not owned by anyone. NM-40 is a big district, and running a real campaign takes real resources. I don't need your money, I need your vote.  If you believe our communities deserve a representative who shows up and delivers, I’m asking you to stand with me so we can compete—and win.
